Who are we?
The Finance and Banking Society (FINSOC) is a prestigious constituent society with branches operating in three universities: the University of New South Wales, the University of Sydney and the Australian National University.
With over 3,000 student members, FINSOC is one of the largest student society networks in Australia dedicated to student education, enrichment and employability within the financial services sector.

FINSOC’s unique value proposition lies in the diversity of its events. Whether that be our annual internship insight panels, networking events with our major sponsors, education events covering excel and trading, or our social events where you are presented with the opportunity to socialise with like-minded students.
Further, our famous flagship ‘Women in Finance Mentoring Program’ in partnership with HSBC offers female finance students the chance to receive their own mentor for several months and gain exclusive insights into how to succeed in the industry.
